6th Pay Commission Good news has come to the fore for the government employees and officers of Himachal Pradesh. It is expected that the state government can release the first installment in June, this benefit will be available from 2016. Under this, arrears of about Rs 5.50 thousand crore have to be paid.

Actually, the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission have been implemented in the state from January 1, 2022, but till now the employees have not got the benefit of arrears (from 2016 to 2021). But according to the latest media reports, the discussion has started recently after Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s discussion with the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department and there is a possibility that the first installment can be released in June.

According to the latest media reports, the financial benefits under the Fifth Pay Commission were paid in four installments. According to the preliminary assessment made by the Finance Department, the employees will get the benefit of the financial benefit to be decided under the recommendations of the Pay Commission, if it is paid in eight installments. It will take two years for the government to provide financial benefits to 2.51 lakh pensioners as well as 2.51 lakh pensioners of the state.

According to the latest media reports, the benefit of this is to be given to 2.5 lakh employees and 1.51 lakh pensioners of the state. Due to this payment, there will be a burden of about five and a half thousand crore rupees on the government exchequer. 7082 crores is spent. Along with HAS, HPS officers, 181430 regular employees, 25579 contract workers, 15210 outsourced and 6656 daily wage earners in the state government are to be benefited.
