The state government has given a big gift to its 7th Pay Commission employees before the foundation day. Actually, the state government has increased the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of the employees and pensioners. More than three lakh government employees and pensioners will benefit from the increased DA. Along with this, the dearness allowance of employees has now been increased to 38 percent under the Seventh Pay Commission. There has been a massive increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance of the employees. Also, due to increase in dearness allowance, there will be an increase in the salary of the employees from 12 thousand to 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees annually.
Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary, Finance Department, has also issued orders in this regard. The state government has given a big gift to about 2.5 lakh employees and pensioners of the state by increasing their dearness allowance and family pension. Despite the public holiday on the eve of the State Foundation Day, the Finance Department has issued mandates to increase DA.
Under the seventh revised pay scale, under the order issued by the Uttarakhand Finance Secretary, the increase in dearness allowance for officers working in UGC pay scale including state employee aided educational institutions and urban local bodies and regular ex-officio officers will be applicable from July 1, 2022. The dearness allowance of the employees at the increased rate will be paid to them from July 1. With an increase of 4%, the dearness allowance of state government employees has been increased from 34 to 38 percent.
Along with this, the arrears from July 1 to October 31 will be paid to the employees in cash. The decision has been taken by the government to pay dearness allowance along with regular salary from 1st November 2022. At the same time, the pension contribution of the employees with the contribution pension scheme will be deposited in the account of the NPS along with the employer’s share.
After this order of the government, there will be a huge increase in the salary of the state government and pensioners on one side. At the same time, employees will be provided from Rs 550 to 10000 per month according to their pay scale, while the High Court judges, including the chairman of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, will be issued separately for local bodies and public undertakings.
