There is good news for lakhs of government employees-pensioners of Jharkhand. Today, on Monday, October 10, an important cabinet meeting has been called under the chairmanship of CM Hemant Soren. In this, the proposal to increase dearness allowance can be implemented on the lines of the central government. After the approval of the CM, a proposal to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent has been sent to the cabinet. If approved, then about 2 lakh employees will get its benefit.

At present, the dearness allowance of state employees is 34% and after increasing by 4 per cent, it will increase to 38 per cent. If it is implemented from July 1, 2022, then three months arrears will also be available. This will benefit 1,93,000 employees of the state. This will put an additional burden of 42 crores on the state government. There will be an increase in the salary of the employees from Rs 500 to 9500. The benefit of increased dearness allowance is expected to be available from October or November this month.

Due to not updating the same data, pensioners may have to wait a bit, at present there are 135000 pensioners in the state. Apart from this, it will also be decided to increase the salary of contract workers by 30 to 50 percent. The basic pay and dearness allowance of about two lakh contract workers in the state have not increased for more than six years, while the government had issued a resolution to increase the dearness allowance of contract workers by 113 percent as per the directions of the Sixth Pay Commission. . Now giving dearness allowance and other benefits on the basis of 7th pay scale will put a burden of about Rs 75 crore on the state exchequer.

These proposals will also get approval

  • Apart from this, the Jharkhand government is also preparing to bring CM Sarathi Yojana. Under the proposal sent by the Labor Department, in this scheme, the government will give 1000 to 1800 rupees per month to the youth for one year.
  • This scheme can be implemented from November 15. The state government will give 50 thousand rupees through DBT to the candidates who pass the UPPSC-JPSC PT for the preparation of the final and 2500 rupees per month will be given to the students for the preparation of other competitive examinations of the central and state.
  • This benefit will be given to ST, SC, OBC and EWS and differently-abled students. The government will provide free coaching facility for the preparation of competitive examinations. The same university proposes UGC regulation 2010 for the promotion of teachers and the proposal of Statute of appointment in JUT may also come.
