DA Hike : Good News! Dearness allowance of employees increased by 4 percent before Diwali

7th Pay Commission: In a way, the monthly budget of the people has been disturbed due to the increase in the prices of vegetables in the country. On the other hand, due to inflation, there is pressure to increase the dearness allowance. According to the PTI report, the dearness allowance may increase by three per cent. Central employees and pensioners will get the gift of this increase from July 1, 2023. However, till now the increase has not been announced by the central government.

If the government increases the DA of the employees by three percent, then it will become 45 percent. Significantly, the government increases DA, DR twice in January and July. This increase depends on the AICPI data released every month by the Ministry of Labour. DA and DR are increased after reviewing the data of six months.

When will the dearness allowance increase

Under the Seventh Pay Commission, 42 per cent dearness allowance is being given to central employees at present. Similarly, DR 42 per cent is also given to pensioners. It is expected that the government can announce the hike in DA and DR anytime between Raksha Bandhan and Diwali. This increase will benefit one crore employees and pensioners.

How much will be the increase in salary

Central employees are expected to get a 3 per cent hike in DA. In such a situation, if the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then according to 45% DA, the salary will increase by about Rs 10,000. Apart from this, it is expected that the central government can also give a decision regarding the increase in HR. So according to this, there is a hope of a bumper increase in the salary of the employees.

Demand for 4 percent DA hike

According to media reports, according to Shiv Gopal Mishra, general secretary of the All India Railwaymen’s Federation, according to the AICPI data released on July 31, a four percent increase in the dearness allowance of the employees is being demanded. Although the government wants to increase this by only 3 percent.
