Employees will get the benefit of increased DA from July 1, 2023. At present, dearness allowance is being given to the employees at the rate of 42 percent by the government, which will now increase to 46 percent.
More than 48 lakh central employees benefited
Along with the increased salary for October, three months’ arrears will also be paid to the employees. Central employees have got relief after the decision taken by the government. In fact, this time a 3 percent DA hike was claimed in many media reports. After this, the employees’ organization had demanded an increase in DA by 4 percent.
More than 48 lakh central employees and 65 lakh pensioners will benefit from this increase. According to the news published on the website of sister channel Zee Business, an announcement in this regard will be made by the government in a press conference at around 3 pm. A decision regarding this has been taken in the cabinet meeting.
There will be an additional burden of Rs 17000 crore
Like every time, this time also during Navratri, before Dussehra, the cabinet has cleared the way for getting increased money in October salary by giving approval to DA hike. Due to DA and DR hike, there will be an additional burden of about Rs 17000 crore on the government exchequer.
Apart from DA arrears in the salary this time, adhoc bonus will also be given to the employees. Apart from this, railway employees will also be given insolvency annual bonus. In such a situation, this time a good amount of money will come with the salary.
