Will be applicable from 1st July
If the DA and DR are increased by the government in September, then it will be implemented from July 1. First, the Department of Expenditure of the Ministry of Finance will prepare a proposal for a hike in DA with revenue implications. After this, this proposal will be placed before the Union Cabinet for approval. After the approval of the cabinet, it will be made effective from July 1, 2023. At present there are more than one crore employees and pensioners of the Central Government. Presently he is getting DA/DR at the rate of 42% of the basic pay/pension.
Earlier, DA was increased on March 24, 2023. This change was made effective from January 1, 2023. At that time the DA was increased by 4% to 42%.
