After this increase in DA, along with 47 lakh employees and officers under the Central Government, 69 lakh pensioners will also get financial benefits. It is being told that after this there will be a substantial increase in the salary of central employees.

Explain that at present the central employees are getting 42 percent DA and with the increase of 3 percent it will be 45 percent. This increase in DA will be effective from July.

DA is for relief to the employees

According to the data estimated by the All India Consumer Price Index, the DA of Central Government employees is proposed to be increased. Actually, the amount given to balance or adjust the decline in the economic condition of the employees due to the increase in inflation is called Dearness Allowance (DA).

DA announcement anytime in September

It should be mentioned here that the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief will be done according to the formula of the Seventh Pay Commission. Meanwhile, it is also being claimed that the ruling Narendra Modi government at the Center may announce the increase in dearness allowance in the first week or fortnight of September. For this there is also pressure from central employees.

DA was increased by 4 percent on March 24

AICPI-IW’s data says that there may be an increase of 3 percent in DA and DR from July. It is worth noting that earlier after January 1, DA was increased by 4 percent on March 24, after which DA increased from 38 percent to 42 percent. In such a situation, after the increase of three percent, DA will become 45 percent.

State governments also increase DA on the lines of the Centre.

It is important to mention here that the state governments usually implement the Centre’s decision to increase DA exactly. In such a situation, one month after increasing the DA of the ruling Narendra Modi government at the center, other state governments including UP will also announce DA.
