7th Pay Commission: Big update for central employees, dearness allowance will be Rs 9104

7th Pay Commission DA Hike: The central government can gift increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief to its employees and pensioners before the announcement of the assembly election dates.

7th Pay Commission: There is good news for more than one crore central employees and pensioners. The long awaited wait of these people for increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief may end soon.

According to reports quoting sources, before the assembly elections to be held in five states, the central government can give the gift of DA Hike and DR Hike to its employees and pensioners. If everything goes well, then after Durga Puja and before Diwali, the central government can announce an increase in dearness allowance.

Now DA Hike before Diwali!

Earlier, speculations were being made that the Central Government may announce DA hike before Durg Puja. People were hopeful that the government might give green signal to the increase in dearness allowance in the Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, October 4. But nothing like this happened in this meeting. In such a situation, it is now expected that the government can now announce a hike in DA and DR before Diwali and after Navratri.

DA hike possible before assembly elections in five states

Let us tell you that the Pawan festival of Navratri is going to start from 15th October and Dussehra is on 24th October. After this Diwali is on 12 November 2023. At the same time, the Election Commission can announce the dates of assembly elections to be held in five states. In such a situation, it is expected that the government may soon gift increase in dearness allowance to the central employees.

October’s increased salary may come into account

If everything goes well, like the last two times, this time the dearness allowance of the employees may increase by 4 percent. Not only this, the increased dearness allowance will be considered applicable from July 1, 2023. If the government announces an increase in dearness allowance in October this month, then the increased salary for the month of October will be credited to the accounts of central employees.

Besides, they can also get the arrears of July, August and September before Diwali. In such a situation, it is expected that this time the Diwali of central employees and pensioners can be bumper. At present, no official announcement has been made by the Central Government in this regard.

This is the purpose of hike in DA-DR

Let us tell you that the basic basis of dearness allowance is ‘Cost of Living’. The Central Government reviews the increase in dearness allowance twice a year as per the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. The first increase is considered effective from January 1 and the second from July 1.

The increase in dearness allowance is reviewed by the Central Government on the basis of AICPI data of inflation sent by the Labor Ministry. Its objective is that people receiving salaries and pensions should not face problems in living a proper life due to inflation.
