They will be paid salary ahead of time. For this, orders were issued by the Union Finance Ministry. Instructions have been given to the employees working in the Central Government to pay salary and pension by 25 August.
The order issued by the Ministry of Finance clearly states that in view of the Onam festival for the month of August 2023, the salaries, wages and pensions of the government employees of the state of Kerala will be withdrawn and distributed by the central government offices including Defence, Posts and Telecom by 25 August 2023. Salary can also be disbursed in advance till 25th August
Salaries of India industrial employees from the state of Kerala can also be disbursed in advance by 25th August. It has been ordered that this pension will be considered as advance payment to laborers including employee pensioners and after fixing the salary pension for the entire month for all the employee pensioners, it can be adjusted from the salary pension of the month of August-September. For this, Reserve Bank of India has been requested to take necessary action and convey this instruction to all payment branches of all banks located in the State of Kerala.
Bonus also announced on Onam festival
Let us tell you that before this, the Kerala government has also announced to give bonus to 13 lakh government employees on Onam festival. 4000 rupees will be provided as bonus to the employees while pension will be there under the contributory pension scheme and a special festival allowance of 1000 rupees will also be made available to the employees.
Will get special festival allowance
Such workers who are not eligible for bonus will get special festival allowance of Rs.2750. Retired workers will get festival allowance of Rs.1000. Employees will be able to take a festival advance of Rs 20,000 while temporary workers will be able to take an advance of Rs 6,000.
