7th Pay Commission Latest Updates: Government employees are going to get good news once again. After the increase in DA and TA with Diwali bonus, the government is churning out another allowance of the employees.
7th Pay Commission Latest Updates: In the year 2021, the government has stamped many allowances of government employees. This is the reason that employees have got good news many times this year. After 11% hike in first DA, 3% DA has been approved. Employees have also got an increase in TA along with Diwali bonus.
Along with this, they are also getting the arrears of dearness allowance by adding them. Now another allowance of central employees is being discussed, whose benefit they can get from the new year i.e. January.
HRA will increase
This increase will be done in the House Rent Allowance ie HRA, due to which there will be a bumper increase in the salary. The Finance Ministry has also started brainstorming on the demand for implementation of House Rent Allowance (HRA) of more than 11.56 lakh employees in this regard. Let us tell you that this proposal has been sent to the Railway Board for approval.
After the approval of this proposal, the employees will get the benefit of HRA from January 2021. There will be a tremendous increase in the salary of these employees as soon as they get HRA. Indian Railway Technical Supervisors Association (IRTSA) and National Federation of Railwaymen (NFIR) have urged the government to implement HRA from January 1, 2021.
Employees started getting increased HRA
Actually, HRA is automatically revised if the dearness allowance is more than 25%. According to the notification of DoPT, the change in House Rent Allowance (HRA) for central employees has been done on the basis of dearness allowance. The government has now started including other central employees in the increased HRA.
Accordingly, all the employees have started getting the benefit of increased HRA. Now according to the category of the city, 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent HRA has started getting. This increase has also come into effect from 1 July 2021 along with DA.
City wise HRA is available
It is worth noting that the category of House Rent Allowance (HRA) is divided according to the X, Y and Z class cities. That is, the employees who fall in the X category will now get HRA more than Rs 5400 per month. After this, the person of Y class will get Rs 3600 per month and then the person of Z class will get Rs 1800 per month.
Cities with a population of more than 50 lakhs come in the X category. Central employees in these cities will get 27% HRA. It will be 18 percent in Y category cities and 9 percent in Z category.
