DA Hike before Dussehra!
According to information received from sources, central employees may have to wait for the increase in dearness allowance before Dussehra. Actually, this year the festival of Dussehra i.e. Vijayadashami is on 24th October. In fact, if we look at the trend or pattern of announcing increase in dearness allowance, the government gives festive gifts to its employees before any major festival. In such a situation, it is expected that the central government can announce DA hike before Dussehra.
You will also get three months arrears!
Not only this, if everything goes well then these people can also get the arrears of three months – July, August and September – before Dussehra. In fact, the new increase will be considered applicable from July 1, 2023 only. In fact, according to the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, the Central Government announces increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief twice a year on the basis of the inflation data of AICPI index released by the Labor Ministry. This increase is considered to be applicable from January 1 and July 1 every year.
Possibility of 4 percent hike in DA-DR
According to AICPI index data, the government may increase dearness allowance by 4 percent for the second half of the year. If this happens, then after this increase, the dearness allowance of the employees will increase from the current 42 to 46 percent and in the month of October, these people will start getting DA and DR on the basis of 46 percent.
