7th Pay Commission: Central employees have been waiting for the increase in their dearness allowance for a long time and considering the previous estimates, the government takes the decision to increase the dearness allowance (DA Hike) at the time of Dussehra.
Often the increase in dearness allowance in the second half is announced in the month of October itself. But till now no official information has been received regarding it. But another good news is coming for central government employees. Apart from dearness allowance, now they are also going to get bonus.
Bonus will be given in festive season
Indian Railways employees are given a productivity linked bonus equal to 78 days’ salary during Diwali. In this, Group D and C employees of Railways are paid. Bonus is transferred to the employees’ account on the basis of minimum salary. But the Railway Federation has demanded an increase in it, on which the Central Government will take a decision.
What is the demand of the federation?
IREF has written a letter demanding bonus under the 7th Pay Commission. Let us tell you that the Seventh Pay Commission was implemented on January 1, 2016, but PLB is still given to railway employees on the basis of the Sixth Pay Commission. Therefore, Railway Federation has demanded that now the employees should be given bonus under the 7th Pay Commission.
How much bonus do you get?
According to the Sixth Pay Commission, the minimum salary was ₹ 7000, which has been increased to ₹ 18000 after the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission. At present Railway Group C and D employees get Rs 17951 as bonus. It is calculated on the basis of 6th Pay Commission. But if the bonus is given on the basis of 7th Pay Commission, then they should get a bonus of Rs 46,159. A request has been sent to the Railway Ministry regarding this.
