Dearness Allowance Hike: The government is currently giving 42% dearness allowance to central employees. The announcement of DA hike in March was implemented from January 1, 2023. Now the next DA hike is expected to be announced in September-October.

DA Hike July 2023: Dearness Allowance for central employees and pensioners is expected to be announced this time in September or October 2023. It will be implemented from 1 July 2023 by the government. Earlier in March 2023, DA was announced. Actually, the government announces increase in dearness allowance every six months. The DA for July will be announced on the basis of AICPI Index from January to June. The AICPI index data for April is already out. The AICPI Index data for May will come on June 30.

Now getting 42% dearness allowance

How much will be the increase in DA Hike applicable for government employees from 1 July 2023? Its idea has been put in place, but after the May AICPI index data comes out, there will be more clarity in it. At present, 42% dearness allowance is being given to the employees by the government. It was implemented from January 2023. With the arrival of May figures, the position of DA hike to be received in July under the 7th Pay Commission will become more clear.

May data will come on June 30

The dearness allowance increasing from July will be given on the basis of AICPI Index from January to June 2023. The new calculation of AICPI Index for the new dearness allowance will come on the evening of 30th June. It will be clear from this that how much Dearness Allowance will increase this time? The April figure has already increased to 134.02 points. On the basis of this, dearness allowance has reached 45.04%. This time it can go above 45.5%.

Who releases the data?

It is decided on the basis of AICPI index that how much will be increased by the government in the dearness allowance of the employees? On the last working day of every month, the figures of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) are issued by the Labor Ministry. This index has been prepared for 88 centers and the entire country.

How much money will increase

If at present the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 18000, then on this he gets 42 percent dearness allowance ie Rs 7560. But if the dearness allowance increases to 46 percent, then the dearness allowance will increase to Rs.8280 per month. Accordingly, the salary will increase by Rs 720 every month.
