7th pay commission: After this, the total will be 38%. With this increase, the salary of the employees will increase by Rs 27,312 and the benefit of dearness allowance will be 2,59,464 annually.
There is good news for Central Government employees. On Wednesday, the employees can get the gift of dearness allowance and dearness relief. An important cabinet meeting is going to be held under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi on September 28, in this meeting there may be a proposal to increase the dearness allowance of employees by 4 percent. If this happens, then the total dearness allowance of the employees will increase from 34% to 38%, its benefit will be available to 47.68 lakh central employees and 68.52 lakh pensioners.
In fact, at present the central employees are getting the benefit of 34% DA, it is likely that after the half yearly figures of the AICPI index, there may be a further increase of 4%, after that the total will be 38%. There will be an increase in salary by Rs 27,312 and the benefit of dearness allowance will be 2,59,464 annually. If it is implemented from July 1, 2022, then the arrears for 3 months July, August and September will also be available. The increase in DA will also increase the PF and gratuity contribution of the employee and will also pave the way for increase in transport allowance and city allowance.
Let us tell you that Dearness Allowance (DA) is a part of the salary structure of government employees. The government gives it to public sector employees as well as pensioners. The central government changes the DA of central employees every six months. The last time DA of employees was increased in March 2022 was 3 percent. After this the DA was increased to 34 percent, currently employees are getting DA at the rate of 34 percent.
You will also get the benefit of other allowances
- Monthly PF and gratuity of central employees is calculated from basic salary and DA, so if dearness allowance increases then PF and gratuity will also increase. Along with dearness allowance, employees can also be increased in House Rent Allowance, Travel
- Allowance, Provident Fund, City Allowance and Gratuity.
- Travel allowance is divided into 3 sections on the basis of pay matrix level, in which cities and towns are divided into two categories. If we look at the formula for the calculation of TA, then Total Transport Allowance = TA + [(TA x DA% )\/100] .
- The Labor Ministry has changed the formula for DA calculation in the base year 2016. A new series of WRI-Wage Rate Index has been released, which will replace the old series of base year 1963-65 with the new series of WRI with base year 2016=100 .
How much will the salary increase
If this decision is taken in the cabinet, then its benefit can be available in the salary of October. For example, if the minimum salary of an employee is Rs 18000 and at the level of cabinet secretary is Rs 56900 and in this DA at the rate of 38% is given. If you go, then the total increase in annual DA on basic salary will increase by Rs 6840, that is, there will be an increase of Rs 720 in monthly DA. The same if your basic salary is Rs 56900 then you will get dearness allowance of Rs 27312. 47.68 lakh central employees and 68.52 lakh pensioners will get its benefit.
