7th Pay Commission: The DA of central government employees is expected to increase from 42 percent to 46 percent in July 2023. As per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, dearness allowance is revised every 6 months. The last DA hike was announced in April. DA and DR of more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners are going to increase. Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) is to increase for the second half of the year 2023 as well. The coming month will bring tremendous happiness for the central employees.

According to information received from sources, the next DA hike was to be announced in July this year. But its term has been extended. It is expected that this announcement of DA hike can be made in August.

DA increases twice a year

Actually, the dearness allowance of central employees is changed twice a year. DA has been increased in January. DA 42 percent is applicable from January. If the government increases DA after July, then dearness allowance can increase to 46 percent. An increase of 4 percent is being predicted in this. There has been an increase of 9 points in the CPI-W index for April. It has been 134.2 points. There has been an increase of 0.68 per cent in comparison to the previous month.

There will be a bumper increase in DA and DR

The central government may soon give the gift of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief to about 1.75 crore central employees and pensioners of the country. Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) and Dearness Relief (DR Hike) of central employees and pensioners are decided on the basis of AICPI index data. According to statistics, a 4 percent increase is being expected. In this case, DA will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent. Accordingly, the salary of central employees can increase from Rs 8000 to Rs 27,000 annually.

HRA allowance may increase

Along with the increase in dearness allowance, an increase in the House Rent Allowance is also being expected for the central employees. In fact, the central government last changed his house rent allowance in July 2021. In such a situation, these people hope that the central government can soon increase their HRA by 3 percent. If this happens, more than 50 lakh employees of the Center will be directly benefited.
