47 lakh central employees will benefit
This time the benefit of increased DA will be given to the central employees from July 1. That means, the employees will be given increased salary for October along with three months DA from the government. That means, along with the salary, DA arrears for July, August and September will also be paid. About 47 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners will benefit from this increase. The increased DA is expected to provide relief to central employees from rising inflation.
The election schedule of five states including Madhya Pradesh has been announced by the Election Commission. Experts say that this will not have any impact on the DA hike of central employees. Actually, under the Seventh Pay Commission, DA of employees is increased twice a year. This is a fixed procedure based on the recommendations of the Pay Commission. Therefore it has nothing to do with the announcement of the Election Commission.
