This change will be considered effective from January 2022. Implementing this, the Ministry of Railways has asked all its zones to pay the increased Dearness Allowance (DA) to the employees and pensioners. Along with this, the arrears of January, February and March have also been asked to be paid.
These 14 lakh people will get direct benefit
This decision of the Ministry of Railways is going to directly benefit 14 lakh employees and pensioners of Indian Railways. Now when he will get the salary of April, along with this he will now get dearness allowance at the rate of 34 percent.
Not only this, along with the salary of April, the arrears from January to March are also going to be available to these 14 lakh people. In this regard, Deputy Director (Seventh Pay Commission) of Railway Board, Jai Kumar Ji (Jaya Kumar G) issued a letter to all the zones and production units on Tuesday.

It has been said in the letter that in the revised salary structure, basic pay means ‘salary received’ as prescribed in the pay metrics. The Deputy Director also said in the letter that the arrears of dearness allowance cannot be paid before the salary disbursement of March 2022.
DA arrears will be paid on this date
All India Railway Federation General Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra is being told in some news that dearness allowance will be paid along with arrears on April 30.
