Giving information, Milk and Dairy Development Minister Mano Thangaraj said that dearness allowance has been increased by 4 percent for 1700 Aavin employees of the state. After this, DA has increased from the existing 34 percent to 38 percent.

Mano Thangaraj said that 1700 Aavin employees will benefit from the government’s decision to increase DA. Earlier, employees working with Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation and six district unions used to get DA at the rate of 38%. Apart from this, 34% allowance was given to the employees working in other districts.
After continuous demand from the employees to increase the annual expenditure by Rs 3.18 crore, the government has made the uniform rate of DA for all Aavin employees 38%. After this step, the annual expenditure of the government is expected to increase by Rs 3.18 crore.
Let us tell you that the Central Government is going to announce DA hike soon. It is expected that the government may increase DA from the current rate of 42 percent to 45 percent. However, the employees are demanding an increase in DA by 4 percent.
