The amount of deduction made in the salary of government employees can be refunded to them. The Government of Kerala has been serious about the demand of the employees and it is believed that in view of the election season, the government can return the cut-off salary to its government employees and appease them.
6 days salary cut every month
Let me tell you that there was a huge loss to the government’s revenue during the Corona crisis period. The government decided to cut a 6-day salary in the salary of all government employees between April and August amid the economic crisis caused by corona. From April to August, the salary of government employees has been deducted for 6 days every month, equal to 1 month’s salary.
Government employees may get relief
The government is considering to refund the deduction made in the salary of government employees in a total of one month’s salary as PF funds. The information furnished by the Finance Ministry of the Government of Kerala is yet to take a clear decision on refund of salary deduction of employees. It is believed that the government can take this decision in view of the forthcoming elections and give great relief to lakhs of employees.
Rajasthan govt also decides to cut salary
It may be recalled that all government employees of all departments, enterprises, public sector andring, semi-government, universities, government schools owned by the Government of Kerala were cut by 6 days ‘ salary every month from April to August. Let me tell you that in view of the corona crisis, several state governments decided to cut the salary of the employees. Recently, the Government of Rajasthan decided to cut salaries by the employees. The government decided that 7 days ‘ salary will be deducted from the salary of all government employees of the state every month from September.
