7th Pay Commission DA Hike News: Another update has come out regarding dearness allowance for government employees. The central government may soon announce an increase in dearness allowance. According to media reports, there will be a big increase in the salary of central employees due to increase in dearness allowance by 3 percent. This increase will be effective from July 1, 2023.
Central employees are hopeful that this time the dearness allowance can be increased by 3 percent. With the increase in DA by three percent, the dearness allowance will increase to 45 percent. The gift of increase in DA will be given to central employees and pensioners. This will be the second time this year, when the government will increase it. Earlier, DA and DR were increased with effect from January 1.
On what basis is DA hike decided?
The DA hike is decided on the basis of monthly consumer price index data of the Labor Bureau branch of the Labor Ministry. The ministry has so far released the data for July, which has increased by 3.3 points to 139.7. Based on this data, it is being estimated that the government can increase the dearness allowance of employees by 3 percent. However, the final decision will be taken by the government.
When will the dearness allowance increase
Official information has not yet come for when the central government is going to increase the DA. Media reports claim that an increase in dearness allowance can be announced anytime in September. DA is given to government employees and DR pensioners and is extended twice in a year in January, July.
DA was increased by 4 percent last time.
The last time DA was increased by 4 percent in March 2023, due to which the current DA is getting 42 percent. After this decision of the central government, many more states had increased the dearness allowance. This includes states like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.
