Now the concerned employee has joined another company as per his terms and continues to work from home.
Started the job on this condition
According to a report in Business Today, the said Amazon employee had started the job on the condition that he would get the facility to work from home. For this reason he had bought a house in a remote area. The employee says that it has always been his dream to live in a remote area with his family and pets.
When things didn’t work out, I resigned.
However, now the company started asking him to come to the office. In such a situation, the employee first expressed his inability. When things did not work out, he told the company that shifting to the office city could cost him up to 1.5 lakh dollars. In such a situation, he demanded a relocation package from the company. After not getting any response from the company, the employee resigned from the job.
Loss worth so many crores
The employee told that after leaving the job of Amazon, he is now working with some other company. In Amazon, he was being asked to come to office at least three days a week. In the new company he has got the facility to work from home.
Salary is also almost old. The new company is small so it is not getting benefits like stock options like Amazon. In Amazon, that employee had got stock options worth 2.03 lakh dollars i.e. about Rs 1.60 crore. However, due to the resignation, the employee had to lose the benefits of Amazon’s stock option.
