Honorarium Hike: has been increased once again. Notification has been issued for this. The benefit of increased honorarium has been implemented from October 1. The honorarium has been increased by Rs 5500.
The Haryana Government has increased the honorarium of Mayor, Senior and Deputy Mayor, Council and Municipality President and members. The notification has been issued by the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies. The honorarium of the Mayor has been increased by Rs 9500 and that of the Deputy Mayor by Rs 8500.
Chairman’s honorarium increased from Rs 5500
The honorarium of the Council Chairman has been increased from Rs 5500. The honorarium of the Municipality Chairman has been increased by Rs 3500. It has been made effective from October 1. In such a situation, 2 months salary will be paid in the month of December. The honorarium of Municipality and City Council members has been increased by Rs 4500.
The Municipal Council was formed on 11 September 2019 by separating the Cantt area from Ambala Municipal Corporation. The Urban Local Bodies Department had also issued budget notification. After the formation of the Municipal Council, elections have not been held yet.
