Under the order, except the Secretariat, class IV employees working in departments across the state will get this benefit. This allowance will be applicable from January 2024.
Fourth Class Employees Uniform Allowance: On one hand, more than one lakh government employees and pensioners of Uttarakhand are waiting for the increase in dearness allowance, while on the other hand, fourth class employees have got a big gift after Diwali. The Pushkar Dhami government of the state has fulfilled the demand of uniform allowance of class IV employees, now the employees will get uniform allowance every year.
You will get the benefit of this allowance every year
Uttarakhand government has now decided to give uniform allowance of Rs 2400 every year to class IV employees. The Finance Department has also issued an order in this regard, although secretariat employees are not included in this order.
Except the Secretariat, Class IV employees working in departments across the state will get its benefit. This allowance will be applicable from January 2024. However, along with giving uniform allowance, the state government has also added mandatory conditions to it, which the employees will have to follow.
These terms and conditions will have to be followed
- Under the mandate issued by the Uttarakhand Government, after getting the uniforms stitched by all the male and female Class IV employees, a certificate will be given to the drawing-distributor that the uniforms have been stitched and are in proper condition.
- It will be mandatory for all male and female Class IV employees to be present wearing uniform on every working day.
- It will be necessary for all male and female Class IV employees that their name and designation will be mentioned on the left side of the uniform and the uniform will be worn compulsorily.
- Under the order, if any male or female class IV employee is not present in the office in uniform, then action will be taken against him by recovering the amount allowed for the uniform from the concerned employee.
- After the uniform is permitted, it will be the responsibility of the concerned head of office/officer with whom the employee is posted to ensure that every Class IV employee comes to the office in uniform.
