fired from job over video call

In fact, San Francisco-based cyber security company Cloudflare fired about 60 employees last week. The company claimed that these employees were not performing properly. During this time, a female employee named Brittany Pisch was also expelled over video call. Brittany made a video of her eviction and posted it on the social media platform X.

This video immediately went viral and got 21 lakh views. When company CEO Matthew Prince saw this video, he became emotional. He wrote that it is painful to watch.

The company’s HR did not have answers to the questions.

On video call, the company’s HR told Brittany that she was being fired due to unsatisfactory performance. But, when she asked the reason, HR could not even give Brittany a proper answer. Brittany said that till now my manager has always given me good reviews.

When Britney was fired, her manager was also not included. After this, Brittany had tears in her eyes and said that I am not satisfied with your review. You give me complete details.

Tears came to the eyes of the female employee

Brittany said with tears in her eyes that it is very easy for you to fire people. You tell someone within 10 to 15 minutes that he is being fired from his job. This creates turmoil in the life of the employee. But, you don’t even have a good reason to fire someone.

Company CEO admitted mistake

After this video, a debate broke out on social media regarding layoffs. People made different types of allegations against the company. However, Cloudflare reiterated that no employees have been fired without reason. However, the company’s CEO Prince admitted that the retrenchment process should be done in a better way.

While taking such decisions, the manager should also accompany the HR. Retrenched employees are not bad. The company simply does not have any work for them at that time. He assured that the company will work better in future.
