Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Northeast India in the next two days, and extremely heavy rains may occur at some places, after which its intensity will decrease. Similarly, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka during July 15 to 17.

Additionally, Gujarat region will receive rain from July 15 to July 16, Kutch and Saurashtra will receive rain on July 16 and July 17. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected over Chhattisgarh on July 15, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Telangana will receive rain on July 15 while Odisha will receive rain on July 15.

Light to moderate rain may occur over Sikkim, Northeast India, South Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and parts of Rajasthan. Light rain is possible over Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gangetic West Bengal, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.
