Modi Government has brought the Internship Scheme to provide jobs to unemployed youth. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the PM Internship Scheme in the Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25, in which about 1 crore youth will get its benefit in the next 5 years. In this program, the intern will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000. Along with this, a lump sum of Rs 6000 will be given separately by the government after 1 year.

When is the registration starting?

The registration process for the PM Internship Scheme will start from October 12. Candidates wishing to enroll in this pilot project can register themselves till October 25. What is the date for shortlisting candidates?

The technology partner of this internship scheme is BISAG. The company will shortlist the candidates between October 27 and November 7. Shortlisted candidates will be able to take a final decision on the offer of the internship program from November 8 to November 15. This internship program will start from December 2, which will be for 13 months.

How much internship will be given?

In the PM Internship Scheme, every intern will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000. Apart from this, a lump sum of Rs 6000 will be given separately by the government after 1 year. In this monthly allowance of Rs 5000, 10% i.e. Rs 500 will be given by the companies from their CSR fund. 4500 rupees will be given by the government.

Where will you get internship?

The cost of this pilot project is being reported to be 800 crores. Advertisements for the internship scheme have been issued in many regional languages. As far as possible, the candidate will be given internship in his district itself.

What should be the eligibility for internship?

Any youth between 21 and 24 years, who has 10th mark sheet and certificate; can apply for PM Internship Scheme.

Who is this scheme not for?

Any person, whose family member is in a government job. Whose family’s annual income is more than 8 lakh rupees. Or he himself is in any full time employment, cannot apply for this scheme.

How to apply?

To apply in PM Internship Scheme, first of all you have to go to its official portal and fill a form. You can give information about your skills and interest on the portal. Based on this, it will be decided where you can be given internship.

How many companies have enrolled so far?

According to the report, out of the top 500 companies, 111 companies have enrolled so far. The government said that reservation policy for SC/ST and OBC candidates will be followed in the internship program.
