Indian Meteorological Department has released the list of names of storms coming north of Indian Ocean. There are different types of names in this list. Such as Arnab, Vyom, Nisarg, Apakul, Fire, Speed etc. India has named these cyclonic storms according to its weather monitoring centers present in 13 countries. In total, there are 169 different storm names.

India has also taken help from its six Regional Specialized Centers and five Regional Tropical Cyclone Warning Centers in releasing this name. India shares information about storms coming in countries around it with 13 countries.

These 13 countries including India are Bangladesh, Iran, Maldives, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

The names of a total of 169 storms coming in these 13 countries have been given. The Meteorological Department has said that in the next season, there may be so many storms in these 13 countries. All these storms will be of different intensity.
