Business Desk: State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a new ATM service to protect its customers from corona infection and to maintain social distancing. The bank has named this service Dorstep ATM Service. Under this, you have to make a WhatsApp message or call to SBI and a mobile ATM will reach your stated location.
This service has started in Lucknow,
Ajay Kumar Khanna, Chief General Manager of Lucknow Circle of SBI said that it has been decided to start SBI Dostep ATM service from Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh (UP). He told that this service has been started in Lucknow from 15th August. Now SBI customers just have to message WhatsApp or call us. After this, all the work is our responsibility.
The facility will be available only at select branches of SBI, the
country’s largest lender delivers banking services to its consumers door to door. Cash will be delivered to the customers’ home under the bank’s Dorp delivery service. Presently this service is available to senior citizens and disabled people. SBI consumers will be available at select branches only. In Dorstep banking service, the bank will not only deliver cash to your home. It includes many services including Cash Pickup, Cash Delivery, Check Pickup, Form-15H Pickup, Delivery of Draft.
Changes have been made in the rules for withdrawing money from
ATMs. SBI has changed the rules for withdrawing money from ATMs, which came into effect from 1 July 2020. According to the information given on the official website of SBI, the bank has given a discount of 8 free transactions in a month to the savings account holders in Metro City. 5 transactions can be done from SBI ATMs and 3 from any other bank’s ATMs. For non-metro cities, this exemption has been reduced to 10 transactions. 5 SBI ATMs and 5 transactions can be done from any other bank’s ATM.
