Indian Railways: Station Development Fee will be charged from the passengers separately according to their travel category.
Broadly speaking, now rail travel will be extra expensive by Rs 10 to 50 for different categories. Railway has also fixed many rules to levy this fee. In this regard, Vipul Singhal, Director (Passenger Marketing) of Railway Board has issued an official letter for all the zones. now the travel in the railway is going to be more expensive for the common man. In lieu of development and redevelopment of railway stations from rail passengers, now a charge will be charged on the ticket.
This fee will be the Station Development Fee, which will be collected separately from the passengers according to their travel category.
