There is big news for more than 44 crore customers of State Bank of India, the country’s largest government bank. SBI has issued an alert to its customers regarding ATM fraud.

SBI has said that to protect yourself from ATM fraud, do OTP best transactions. SBI has tweeted about this from the official Twitter handle. SBI said in a tweet, Our OTP based cash withdrawal system for transactions at SBI ATMs is a vaccination against fraudsters. Protecting you from fraud is our top priority at all times.

The country’s top state-run bank SBI had launched the OTP based cash withdrawal facility in January last year. If you want to withdraw money from SBI ATM, then you have to enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number. This will help protect you from fraud.

This is The Complete Process to Withdraw Money From ATM Through OTP-

When you visit SBI ATM to withdraw money, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Customers can withdraw money from ATM by entering this OTP. OTP will be a four digit number from which a transaction can be done once. This facility will protect SBI cardholders from unauthorized cash withdrawals.

Will be Applicable on Withdrawal of More Than 10 Thousand Rupees

This facility is for withdrawal of more than Rs 10,000 from SBI ATMs. This is expected to protect against unauthorized cash transactions from ATMs. SBI has taken this step in this direction to protect its customers from any kind of fraud.

Avoid Fake SMS

In another tweet, SBI has alerted its customers about fake SMS. SBI said, the message sent by the bank will always have ‘SBI’ small code. Like SBIBNK, SBIINB, SBINO, ATMSBI etc. SBI said, the bank never sends bit.ly links. Do not click on links sent from unknown sources.

Along with this, the country’s largest government bank has asked customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to continue banking services without any hassle. We advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and continue to enjoy a seamless banking service, the bank said.
