The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PRFDA) said on Thursday that by the end of February 2022, the number of subscribers in various schemes under the National Pension System (NPS) has increased by 22 per cent year-on-year. 507.23 lakhs.

According to PFRDA, the total pension assets of the two schemes under management, NPS and Atal Pension Yojana, increased to Rs 7,17,467 crore. It has increased by 28.21 percent on a yearly basis.
According to the data of PFRDA, the number of subscribers in the category of employees of the center of NPS has increased by 5 percent to 22.75 lakh. At the same time, the number of state government employees has increased by 9.22 percent on an annual basis and this number has increased to 55.44 lakh.
In the corporate sector also, the number of subscribers has also increased by 25 percent and the total subscriber has increased to 13.80 lakhs.
There has also been an increase of 37.70 percent in all civilian area subscribers and the number of subscribers in this sector has increased to 21.33 lakh.
The number of employees availing pension in NPS Lite Mode was 41.88 lakh at the end of February 2022. No new registrations are being done in this category from 1st April 2015.
