7th Pay Commission DA Hike Big Update: A big update has come for the central employees. The Modi government has categorically refused to revise the rate of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief hike for pensioners.Â
If you are a central employee, then this news is for you. The Modi government is in the mood to give a jolt to the central employees. The government has categorically refused to revise the rate of increasing Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for central employees and pensioners.
In response to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said that there is no need to increase the DA by more than 3 percent. The employees were waiting for a long time for the increase of DA, but they have got disappointment from the government.
Government replied in Rajya Sabha
On the increase in DA and DR relief, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said in the Rajya Sabha that according to the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI-IW) released by the Union Ministry of Labor, DA will be based on the inflation rate.
And the DR will be increased. The government also told Parliament that the inflation rate in the last two quarters has been more than 5 per cent.
There is no plan to increase DA more than 3 percent
Rajya Sabha MP Naran Bhai J Rathwa had asked the Minister of State for Finance on Tuesday that why the increase in dearness allowance of central government employees and pensioners has been kept constant at 3% while the rate of inflation is high.
However, in response to this, Pankaj Chaudhary said that the government does not plan to increase the DA by more than 3 percent. There is no need to revise the rate of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief for central employees and pensioners, he said.
Employees expected to increase DA
Explain that 31 percent dearness allowance is given to central employees. Had it been increased by 3 per cent before Holi, then the total dearness allowance would have gone up to 34 per cent.
This decision of the government would have benefited more than 50 lakh government employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners. On the basis of the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, the Central Government increases the DA. Lakhs of employees across the country were waiting for the DA to increase, but they are again disappointed.
