A news related to the subsidy of gas cylinder used in the kitchen of the house is about to come out.
There is a discussion that in the matter of domestic cylinders, the government can take two stances. In this, either cylinders should be supplied without subsidy or only some consumers should be given the benefit of subsidy.
Only Ujjwala beneficiaries can get the benefit of subsidy
However, no clear indication has been given by the government regarding the subsidy yet. But quoting sources, news is coming that the rule of ten lakh rupees will be kept in force.
Also, only the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will be given the benefit of subsidy. Subsidies for other consumers may end.
The increase in the prices of LPG cylinders continues. From last year 2021, the price of cylinder is increasing continuously. However, the cylinder price update has not come in the new year.
It is worth noting that in the last few months, subsidy on LPG is coming. The government’s expenditure on subsidy stood at Rs 3559 during the financial year 2021.
In the financial year 2020, this expenditure was Rs 24 thousand 468 crore. Actually, this is under the DBT scheme, which was started in January 2015.
In this, the consumers have to pay the full amount for the non-subsidised domestic cylinder. The subsidy money is refunded to the customer’s bank account by the government. However, this refund is direct hence the name of the scheme is DBTL.
