National High Speed ​​Rail Corridor (NHSRL) Principal Executive Director Pramod Sharma said that out of the total eight in Gujarat, the target is to complete the construction work of Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad high speed stations by 2024. The official claimed that the remaining stations including Bilimora, Vapi, Anand would be ready by 2026.

1.26 km long bridge being built over Narmada river

A 1.26 km long bridge is being built over the Narmada River on the High Speed ​​Corridor. This will be the longest bridge on this route. Its construction will also be completed in July 2024. A total of 20 bridges are being built on the Sabarmati, Dhadhar, Mahi, Damanganga, Tapti rivers of the state.

Japanese-Chinese technology

Sharma said that a 40 meter long guard is being used to lay the track between Surat-Bilimora. Whose weight is one thousand metric tons. With this technology, the speed of laying the track has increased by 700 times. This technology is only in select countries including China, Japan.

Direct connectivity to Indian Railways at these stations

Bullet train stations are being built over Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Sabarmati railway stations. With this, passengers of trains running from UP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Delhi will be able to board the bullet train directly after reaching these three stations.

Multi modal transport system for railway, metro and road transport

Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Sabarmati stations will be made the hub of commercial activities. A big passenger terminal will be built at Sabarmati station. Two metro stations are proposed here.

There will be a multi-modal transport system for railway, metro and road transport. Platform 11-12 will be developed anew at Ahmedabad (Saraspur). Here also an integrated transport system will be implemented for metro, rail and bullet train.
