For such employees who have not yet come under the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission and they are currently given salary only under the 5th and 6th Pay Commission, the government has increased their dearness allowance from 7 percent to 13 percent. These employees will also be given the last month’s arrears.

After increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the central employees getting salary under the 7th Pay Commission, the government has now given a gift to the employees of the 5th and 6th pay commission also. The DA of these employees will be increased by 13 percent.

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance said that the DA of the employees getting salary under the 5th Pay Commission will be increased from the existing 368 percent to 381 percent. That is, there will be a bumper increase of 13 percent in it.

At the same time, the DA of the employees working under the 6th Pay Commission will be increased from 196 percent to 203 percent. It will be increased by 7 percent. The increased DA will be applicable from January, 2022 and the previous month will be paid as arrears. The benefit of increased DA will be given to all employees working in Central Autonomous Institutions.

DA was increased by 3 percent in

the 7th Pay Commission. Now it has increased from 31 percent to 34 percent. With the increase in dearness allowance, the travel allowance and house rent allowance of central employees will also increase. This increase will also be applicable from January 1, 2022 and the payment of the previous months will be done in the form of arrears.

DA is calculated

on the basic salary, the increase in Dearness Allowance or DA of the employees is calculated on their basic salary. This time the increased 3% DA will also be given according to the basic salary.

For example, if the basic salary of an employee is 30 thousand rupees, then till now 31 percent DA was added to it, which will now be added 34 percent. That is, now 34 percent of the basic salary will be added to the salary.

Some employees are not getting the benefit of 7th Pay Commission.

Some employees working in central departments or autonomous organizations have not yet been included in the 7th Pay Commission. Such employees are also given the benefit of increment in dearness allowance. The Central Government has given a big benefit to these employees working under the recommendations of the 5th and 6th Pay Commission by increasing the DA in lump sum from 7 to 13 percent.
