It has been seen many times that the challan was drunk when the vehicle accident took place. Driving under the influence of alcohol greatly increases the risk of an accident. To stop this, the ministry said that the hobby will become a condolence message if you ignore the road safety rules.
How much challan if caught drinking alcohol
If caught while driving under the influence of alcohol, the driver can be jailed for 2 years and pay a hefty fine of Rs 15,000. According to section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act, you can be jailed for 10000 or 6 months for doing so for the first time and then if you are caught again doing such mistake, you can have to pay 2 years in jail and fine of 15000 rupees.
About 1.5 lakh people die in road accidents in India every year
Recently, worrying statistics regarding road accidents in India were also released. Regarding accidents, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had told that 5 lakh road accidents happen every year in India, which is one of the highest in the world.
