Along with reducing the excise duty on petrol and diesel, the price of LPG has also been cut. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a subsidy of Rs 200 per gas cylinder. However, this subsidy will be available only to the consumers of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Finance Minister made a big announcement
On Saturday evening, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made two big announcements. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that we are reducing the Central Excise Duty (Excise Duty) on petrol by eight rupees and on diesel by six rupees. This will reduce the price of petrol by Rs 9.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 7 per liter.

He wrote, “This year the Prime Minister will give a subsidy of Rs 200 per gas cylinder (up to 12 cylinders) to more than 9 crore beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana. This will help our mothers and sisters. This will affect the revenue of about Rs 6100 crore annually. ”
After this announcement by the Finance Minister, more than nine crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will get a subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder. However, they will get this subsidy only up to 12 cylinders.

It is worth noting that at present the price of domestic gas in the country is in the range of 1000 to 1100 rupees. In the same month, oil companies increased the price of domestic gas (14.2 kg) cylinder by Rs 50. After which the price of domestic cylinder was reduced to Rs 999.50 per cylinder.
