The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) said Indian Railways is ready to start 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 2023 after Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inspected the coaches under production at LHB Shed of Furnishing Factory, ICF on Friday. Ashwini Vaishnav shared a video on her social media account and wrote “Vande Bharat production on fast track at ICF Chennai.”

The Railway Minister on Friday also flagged off the 12,000th LHB coach launched by the ICF in Chennai and reiterated that there is no question of privatization of the Railways. He also inspected the Vande Bharat Express coaches under construction at LHB Shed of Furnishing Factory, ICF.

The ICF said that the first two prototype rakes are planned to be commissioned by August 2022 and Indian Railways is committed to have 75 Vande Bharat rakes by August 2023. After the ICF inspection, Vaishnav flagged off the 12,000th Linke Hoffmann Busch AC-II Tier Coach at the Furnishing Factory in the presence of General Manager, ICF, AK Agarwal and senior railway officials.

ICF in a statement said that “This is a great achievement in the history of Indian Railways and a benchmark in the modernization of Passenger Train Services. ICF is the first production unit of Indian Railways to achieve such a benchmark in the production of LHB coaches.”

During this interaction Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that “Vande Bharat Express is a proud project for Indian Railways. I congratulate Team ICF for designing and developing these world class coaches. Vande Bharat Express as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All regions of India will be connected through trains, which is a dream come true for all of us.”

Vaishnav said that “there is no question of privatization of railways. For the betterment of Indian Railways the focus has been on the adaptation of completely new technologies, such as armored anti-collision protection devices, which are in Vande Bharat Express coaches. will also be installed.”

He said that “I advise all the railway employees working in Tamil Nadu to learn Tamil language for smooth and safe running of trains besides better interaction with rail users. India is a country of many beautiful languages ​​and we need to know every language. One needs to enjoy the beauty.”

Vaishnav said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to transform Indian Railways with better passenger experience, higher safety, more passenger capacity. All railway stations are being redeveloped and 50 stations are already under ‘process’. passing.”
