The central government had reduced the excise duty on oil. After this, some states also reduced VAT from petrol and diesel.
Government had reduced rates
Let us inform that on May 21, the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 and on diesel by Rs 6. After which petrol became cheaper by Rs 9.50 and diesel by Rs 7 per liter. After this decision of the central government, some states also came forward and gave relief to the people. Maharashtra, Kerala and Rajasthan government reduced VAT from petrol-diesel (VAT cut on Petrol-Diesel).
