Indian Railways Sleeping Pods: The Indian Railways, which is constantly working on passenger amenities, has now started another service keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. After the start of this service, now you will not have to wander in search of hotels after landing at the station. Yes, this news is very useful for such travelers who often travel from one city to another. And in the midst of their business meetings, they stay with hotels etc.
The second Sleeping Pod service in Mumbai has been started
by the Railways for the passengers at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) station of Mumbai. Earlier on 17 November 2021, a pod hotel was opened for passengers at Mumbai Central Railway Station of Western Railway. Thus, this is the second sleep pod service facility in Mumbai.
Option of Comfortable and Economical Stay
It was told by the Railways that Indian Railways has taken this initiative to provide the option of comfortable and economical stay. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also shared some pictures of this sleeping pod on his Twitter account. Actually, let us tell you that Sleeping Pods are small rooms for the passengers to stay. These are also called capsule hotels.
All these facilities are available in Pod Hotel,
their fare is less than the waiting room present at the railway station. But here passengers get facilities according to their needs. In these, along with the facility of staying in the air conditioner room, many other facilities like mobile phone charging, locker room, intercom, deluxe bathroom and toilets etc. are available.
Out of the total 40 sleeping pods, 30 single pods
have been opened by the Railways near the waiting room on the main line of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai’s new Sleeping Pod Hotel. Its name is Namah Sleeping Pods. It was told by the Railways that at present 40 sleeping pods are present in this sleeping pods present on CSMT. There are 30 single pods, 6 double pods and 4 family pods.

Namah Sleeping Pods made at CSMT railway station can be booked online or by visiting the counter in both ways.
