Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a service that allows individual to register tickets through the official chatbot.

Indian Railways launched an AI-powered chatbot called AskDisha in October 2018, where Disha stands for Digital Interaction to Seek Help Anytime. Under this , many problems ranging from ticket booking related to the customers are resolved. Also, passengers will be able to make reservations for their journey using the chatbot.

By making a reservation through the chatbot, customers will be able to save themselves the hassle of visiting the IRCTC website or using the application. According to statistics, more than 10 lakh people visit the IRCTC website every day. This large number will give relief to the passengers booking tickets from railway stations. No additional charge will be levied for this service.

If a passenger is paying through UPI, IRCTC will charge Rs 10 more for sleeper class and Rs 15 more for AC berth. If payment is made through any other payment option, Indian Railways will charge Rs. Will charge Rs 20 extra for class and Rs 30 extra for AC class.

It is worth noting that recently a facility was started by the Indian Railways. Under this facility, Railways allows passengers to order food through WhatsApp. Using the facility, a passenger can easily get food at his/her berth.
