According to the airport operator Adani Group, on October 18, 2022, both the intersecting runways of the Mumbai airport will be repaired. About 800 flights are operated daily from its main runway 9/27 and other runway 14/32. In terms of movement of such a large number of aircraft, Mumbai Airport comes second after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

See when the airport will be closed
The Adani Group says that the runway will be closed from 11 am to 5 pm on October 18 due to the repair work of the runway. It is part of the runway repairs done every year post monsoon, so that the faulty rain can be repaired again. During the repair, the edge light of runway 14/32 will also be fixed and the aeronautical ground light will also be upgraded.

What the airport said
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport says that it has already rescheduled all flights for the convenience of passengers during runway closure. All flights between 11 am and 5 pm on October 18 have been rescheduled to any earlier or later time. Due to this, passengers will not face any problem in reaching their destination.
