According to the sources, the state’s The Yogi government has made preparations for this and the Finance Department has also prepared a proposal and sent it to CM Yogi Adityanath. Now the final decision has to be taken by the CM. There is a possibility that there may be a formal announcement of 38 per cent DA before Diwali.
Actually, the increase in DA of government employees and DR of pensioners twice a year is effective from the months of January and July. Whenever DA is increased by the Centre, then in UP also, dearness allowance and dearness relief of employees, pensioners are increased. According to the rules, the Central Government has increased the DA of the employees for July, now on the lines of the Center, the Yogi Adityanath government is also preparing to increase the allowance by 4 percent. It is expected that the order for payment of salary will be issued before October 24 and the benefit of increased DA can be given to the employees in the salary of November.
At present, the government employees and pensioners of Uttar Pradesh are getting the benefit of 34% dearness allowance and dearness relief. With an increase of 4 percent, the DA and DR of employees and pensioners will become 38 percent. It is expected that the order for payment of salary will be issued before October 24 and the benefit of increased DA can be given to the employees in the salary of November. If the increased DA comes in the salary of November, then the bonus amount can be sent in October. For this, the Finance Department has started preparations to prepare a proposal for salary, dearness allowance and dearness relief. The same bonus can also be announced soon.
