The increased rate of DA will be applicable on Basic Pay. About 2.5 lakh employees are taking salary under the 7th Pay Commission in the state, who will get the direct benefit of this decision.

Before Diwali, the state government has given a big gift to the government employees-pensioners of Haryana. The Manohar Lal Khattar government of the state has increased the dearness allowance of the employees by 4 percent, it will be applicable from July 1, 2022. Now the employees of the state will get the benefit of 38 per cent DA like the Centre. The increased DA will come along with the salary for the month of October, while the arrears of DA from July to September will be available in the month of November.

Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, issued its notification on Tuesday after the approval of the Governor. Under this, dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners has been increased from 34 percent to 38 percent. According to the 7th Pay Commission, only the employees who are taking salary will get its benefit. The increased rate of DA will be applicable on Basic Pay. About 2.5 lakh employees are taking salary under the 7th Pay Commission in the state, who will get the direct benefit of this decision.

Since DA has been implemented from 1st July, then 3 months arrears will also be available. But the employees will not get the arrear amount in cash. Arrears for three months will be deposited in PF. The state government increases the rate of DA every six months. The hike in DA is due on 1st January and 1st July. Despite this, the government increases it with a delay of three to four months. There are also five-seven thousand employees in Haryana who are getting salary as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.
