EPFO Subscribers: In August, there has been a decline in the number of new subscribers under EPFO, ESIC, NPS. According to the data, 37,85,101 new subscribers registered under NPS between September 2017 and August 2022.
EPFO Subscribers: New subscribers of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and National Pension Scheme (NPS) saw a decline in August as compared to July. According to official data, a total of 9,86,850 new subscribers were enrolled under the EPFO in August 2022, which was 11.86 per cent less than the 11,19,698 subscribers who had enrolled under the scheme in July 2022.
The data shows, from September 2017 to August 2022, a total of 5,81,56,630 new subscribers joined the EPF scheme.
Similarly, under ESIC, the number of new subscribers in August was 14,62,145, which was 8 per cent less than the 15,89,364 subscribers who enrolled in July.
Official data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation states that between September 2017 and August 2022, 7,22,92,232 new subscribers were added to ESIC.
Even the new NPS subscribers saw a slight decline in August as compared to July.
In August, the total number of new NPS subscribers was 65,543, which was 0.71 per cent less than the 66,014 subscribers enrolled under it in July.
According to the data, 37,85,101 new subscribers registered under NPS between September 2017 and August 2022.
