For this, a meeting of the representative of the Employees’ Pensioners’ Union with the Cabinet Secretary is going to be held in November. The time has just been set. According to the news going on in the media report, the arrears can be paid for 18 months in three installments. However, as there is no official confirmation, it is too early to say anything on this.

The Union Cabinet Secretary is constantly being pressurized by the Pensioners Employees Union. The date of discussion on the issue of DA arrears has also been announced. However, earlier it was made clear by the government that the DA of the employees would not be paid. Now once again there seems to be a consensus on this. The representatives of the union will demand the payment of dues of DA from the cabinet secretary. The same National Council Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra had also written a letter to the Cabinet Secretary and the Chairman of the National Council, demanding the release.

At present, it is not clear whether the Center will approve the arrears for 18 months. Earlier, the demand for DA arrears was rejected by the central government, but after the discussion, once again the hope of the employees seems to be building.

A decision on the arrears due from July 2020 to January 2021 can be taken in the meeting to be held in November. If consensus is reached in the meeting, then its draft will be prepared and presented in the cabinet. After being presented in the cabinet, it will be implemented after reconsideration. In such a situation, the employees may have to look for a long way now.

Earlier, the employees had also appealed in the court regarding the arrears of 18 months. On which the Supreme Court had asked the government to consider. The Supreme Court had said that arrears are the right of the employees. It can be refrigerated for a few moments but it cannot be stopped. After which the demand for Arias by the employees was started once again.

The employees say that the arrears should not be paid in one lump sum but should be paid in three installments. With this, there will be no problem in paying the payment amount. Now what decision the government takes on the demand of the employees, only time will tell, but before that, everyone’s eyes are ready on the discussion to be held in the meeting.

If there is an agreement on this issue in the meeting, then there will be a huge increase in the salary of the employees. Level 1 employees will get a benefit of up to 30000 on one hand. Level 13 employees can be paid up to 215000, Level 14 employees up to 218200.

Let us tell you that recently there has been a huge increase in the dearness allowance of the employees by the central government. With the increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance, it was increased to 38 percent. In January 2023, once again there may be an increase in the dearness allowance of the employees. However, the DA of employees for January 2023 is more likely to be increased in March.
