More than 7500 supervisor employees will get benefited. In this, more than 3500 people of Headquarters and Bilaspur Railway Division, more than 2000 of Raipur Railway Division will get benefit.
Railway Employee Promotion: There is good news for railway employees of Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Recently Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced the pay grade upgradation of about 80000 officers-employees of the country. After the approval of the Central Government to the new policy, everyone will get an additional salary of Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,000 per month on an average. In this series, Jaya Kumar, Deputy Director Pay-Commission, Railway Board has now issued a letter to this effect to the General Managers of all Zonal Railways including North Central Railway.
With this decision of the Ministry of Railways, about 6000 employees of supervisory cadre working in Prayagraj, Jhansi and Agra divisions of North Central Railway will get the benefit of direct promotion and grade-6 employees will be able to get direct promotion. Under the new system, examination will be conducted every year for the eligible Group C employees and they will be promoted on time. At present, supervisors of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, S&T, Stores, Traffic Commercial, Personnel departments will be benefited by this new policy of Railways. All Supervisor grade officers will get a chance to reach higher pay grade at par with Group A officers.

It is worth noting that recently Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has gifted promotion to 80,000 employees of Railways who come under Supervisor Grade i.e. Grade 7. Under this, now Level 6 employees will be able to reach Level 7 and 8 and some People will be able to reach level 9 as well. In simple words, with this new policy, these employees will now be able to reach the equivalent of Group A officers. The hike in pay grade means that everyone will get an additional salary of Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,000 per month on an average. This will increase the wage bill by Rs 10,000 crore.
Employees of Chhattisgarh also benefited
The special thing is that the employees of Raipur and Bilaspur Railway Division of Chhattisgarh will also get its benefit. This decision of the Ministry of Railways will benefit more than 7500 supervisor employees of technical and non-technical cadre of South East Central Railway. In this, more than 3500 people of Headquarters and Bilaspur Railway Division, more than 2000 of Raipur Railway Division will get benefit. Vijay Pratap Singh, Additional General Manager, South East Central Railway said that this decision taken in the interest of the employees will benefit 7500 supervisor cadre employees working on South East Central Railway.
