Under the order issued by the government, the dearness allowance of the retired employees getting the sixth pay scale has been increased at the rate of 12% while for the seventh pay scale it has been increased at the rate of 5%. This increase will be effective from 1 October 2023.
7th Pay DR Hike: A big gift has been given to the pensioners of the state. Actually an increase in their dearness allowance has been announced. On the one hand, the pensioners getting the seventh pay scale will get the benefit of 33% dearness relief. The DA of pensioners has been increased to 201 percent for the sixth pay scale. Orders were issued in this regard. At the same time, the government has made a big announcement for the pensioners of the urban bodies.
Will be effective from October 1, 2022
Giving information in the matter, Urban Administration and Development Commissioner Yadav said that pensioners and family pensioners of urban bodies will also be given the benefit of increased dearness allowance from October 1, 2022.
12% hike for 6th pay scale
From October 1, 2022, dearness relief at the rate of 33% will be provided to the pensioners of the seventh pay scale, while 201 percent dearness relief on the basic pension for the sixth pay scale will be made available to the pensioners. Earlier, the family pensioners getting the seventh pay scale were being given the benefit of dearness allowance at the rate of 28%. In which an increase of five percent has been announced.
Earlier recently there was a demonstration by pensioners in Bhopal. In which an increase in dearness allowance was demanded. Consent from Chhattisgarh was mandatory for pensioners’ dearness allowance. After increasing the dearness allowance of pensioners by the Chhattisgarh government two weeks ago, now 4 lakh pensioners of Madhya Pradesh will get a big benefit. However, 5% less dearness relief is being provided to the pensioners of Madhya Pradesh as compared to the Central Government.
