Punjab National Bank: There is important news for the users of Punjab National Bank (PNB). The bank has issued a warning to its customers. The bank has asked its customers to update their KYC by December 12, 2022. Explain that due to the increasing cyber fraud across the country, the Reserve Bank of India has advised all banks to update KYC.

According to the bank, customers whose KYC will remain pending after December 12, may face difficulty in transacting from their account. That’s why it is very important for all customers to get KYC done by 12 December. If the KYC is not updated by the stipulated time limit, then restrictions can be imposed on the transaction in the account. As per the guidelines of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), it is mandatory to update KYC.

For customers whose KYC updation is pending, two notices have been sent to their registered address and through SMS to their registered mobile number. Non-updation may result in ban of your account operation. To know whether your Punjab National Bank KYC has been done or not, you will have to call the customer care. The bank said that customers can get more information by calling the customer care number 18001802222 or 18001032222.

Update before December 12
PNB said in a tweet that as per RBI guidelines, KYC updation is mandatory for all customers. Customers, whose account KYC updation has not been done till 30th September 2022 and to whom notice/SMS has been sent to the registered mobile number, are requested to approach the base branch before 12th December 2022 for KYC updation of the account Get it done Failure to update by this deadline may result in restrictions on operations in the account.

  • You can update your KYC by visiting the bank branch.
  • PNB account holders will have to provide address proof, photo, PAN, Aadhaar number and mobile number to update KYC.
  • You will get KYC forms in the bank, fill it and attach the necessary documents and submit it. After submitting the form, your KYC gets updated.
  • If you want to update KYC sitting at home, then for this you have to e-mail your documents to the bank. Keep in mind that the document should be sent from the registered mail ID only.
