At the same time, the central government employees are demanding to increase the retirement age to 65 years. Meanwhile, a big update has been given by the state government on the retirement age of the employees. Actually now the employees will retire at the age of 60.

Will be able to retire at the age of 60

Work Shikshamitras in primary schools have been assigned work on contract basis by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The maximum age limit for working on contract has also been fixed. Like general education, now Shikshamitras working on contract will also be able to retire at the maximum age of 60 years. Although hair salons have been made mandatory to be renovated like before.

Mandate issued

In this matter, orders have been issued by Basic Education Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar. Under the issued order, it has been decided to consider the contract based services of Shikshamitra to be terminated on the day of attaining the age of 60 years. It has been said that the earlier issued mandate related to the implementation of Shiksha Mitra Yojana in relation to the primary school of the Basic Education Council should be considered modified to this extent only.

Please tell that Shikshamitras have been posted on contract in Uttar Pradesh. In this their number is 146000. Earlier in the year 1999, in view of the shortage of regular teachers, the deployment of Shikshamitras on contract in primary schools was started.

11 months honorarium payment

In 2014, Shiksha Mitras were accommodated through training etc. and after canceling their adjustments, they were again employed on honorarium. Shikshamitras are provided with ₹ 10000 per month as honorarium. At the same time, out of 12 months of the year, they are paid honorarium for 11 months. Along with this, their renewal has been made mandatory every year.
